Mike Garvey captured the ASA most Popular Driver Award in 2003.
Voting for the prestigious award recently began on  Fans are encouraged to vote as often as they like, but they can only vote once per day.  A name and valid email address are required to vote.

“In our first couple years of doing this, Butch Miller (2002 recipient) and Mike Garvey (2003 recipient) have said it was one of the greatest honors they have ever had the privilege to receive," said editor and SPEED Channel commentator Bob Dillner.  "What makes it so special is the fact that the fans decide it.  Neither us, nor the series have any say in the matter.  That’s pretty bad to the bone.  I remember, as a kid, before I started working in the business, I had many favorites I’d root for every week from the grandstands and on TV.  Too bad they didn’t have this award while I was a kid because guys like Mike Eddy (ASA), Charlie Jarzombek (Modifieds) would have won.”
