“We have covered ARCA casually as we continued to grow with our site, but now we are ready to step it up
Eighteen different drivers are eligible for the Speed51.com ARCA Most Popular Driver Award.
"This is a pretty awesome deal we're doing with the ARCA RE/MAX Series and its drivers," said Speed51.com editor Bob Dillner.  "You know, the championship is the ultimate goal in any motorsport, but a lot of guys tell me to be named Most Popular Driver is the next best thing.  These drivers are just like all of us were in high school; we all wanted to be popular despite what they might tell you.

"And what makes this award so cool is that we don't decide who the winner is; ARCA doesn't decide it; it's the fans who will tell us who the ARCA popularity contest winner is.  In fact, I was speaking with Todd Bowsher at
Nashville about the program and he said winning this award would be special because you can’t get it because of how much money you spend on your team or even your ability on the racetrack; it’s what the fans think of you personally.  There are two reasons we created speed51.com - for the fans and for our love of racing, and that's why we try to sponsor awards like this."
ARCA RE/MAX Series officials and the Short Track Racing website Speed51.com have formed a partnership for the 2004 season.

Speed51.com will host the ARCA Most Popular Driver award on its website and provide the winner with a cash prize and a new website design.
another notch,” explained Bob Dillner, who is also the “play-by-play” announcer for ARCA on SPEED Channel in 2004.  “I will be at the track with SPEED Channel this year, Jeremy Troiano and Matthew Dillner and I will also try to bring fans behind the scenes of this cool series as well.”

To do this, Speed51.com will be filing its unique race stories and features on ARCA racing.  It has also set up a “post-at-will” message board for ARCA fans to comment on things happening in the series.
