Officials of Mahoning Valley Speedway are happy to announce they are once again offering FREE tickets to Pocono Raceway’s two Saturday NASCAR weekend events as part of Pocono Raceway Night at the Lehighton paved ¼-mile oval.

Race fans coming out to Mahoning Valley on Saturday night, May 15 and Saturday night, July 17 will not only get to see some of the finest pavement short track action, they will also be treated to super speedway racing as well at Pocono.

Thanks to the generosity of Pocono Raceway’s Mattioli family, the first 250 adult grandstand guests attending the races those nights will receive a free ticket to the June 5 Pocono 200 ARCA Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards race, which is the lead-in event to the Pocono 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup race the following day at the 2.5-mile Long Pond track.

The Pocono ARCA 200 is an 80-lap, 200-mile race that traditionally has been one of the most hard-fought events on the yearly ARCA schedule.

Fans coming out to the July 17 meet will receive a ticket good for the inaugural NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Pocono Mountains 125 as well as the ARCA 125. Both races are 50 laps.

They are the preamble to Sunday’s Pennsylvania 500.

The Saturday Pocono dates also include two rounds of practice for the NASCAR Sprint Cup cars.

Additionally, Mahoning race fans will also be eligible to win free Terrace Grandstand race day tickets to the Pocono 500 and Pennsylvania 500.

On the May 15 card at Mahoning will be all regular track classes which include Modifieds, Late Models, Street Stocks, Dirt Modifieds and Pro4 Late Models. Race time is 6:00 pm.

July 17 will also be a regular class’s show plus the 4c Super Modifieds.

Over the past few years Pocono Raceway and Mahoning Valley Speedway have enjoyed a solid working relationship and members of the two popular Northeast facilities are excited to be joining forces once again by giving fans the opportunity to see racing on both the professional as well as the grass roots level.

Racing at Mahoning Valley begins on Sunday, April 11 at 3:30 pm with the Dirt Cars on Asphalt Spring 50 will be a 50 lap, $1200 to win main. The Street Stocks will contest in a regular 25 lap main.

All regular tracks classes will be in action one week later on Saturday evening April 17 at 6:00 p.m. with the highlight being Hand Five of the 2009 Modified 100 Poker Series, a 100-lap $3000 to win main for the Modifieds which is a holdover race from last year and will also determine the overall Poker Series champ.
