Gresham Motorsports Park today announced that the American Fence Association will serve as the primary sponsor of the Saturday, August 28 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East event at the track.
The American Fence Association 150 will mark the first time since 1987 that a NASCAR touring series event will be held at GMP.
“We’re extremely pleased to have the American Fence Association be the title sponsor of our NASCAR K&N Pro Series East event,” said Gresham Motorsports Park general manager Dan Elliott. “We experienced the benefits of being involved with AFA last year when an AFA member company served as the fencing contractor during the renovation of Gresham Motorsports Park. It was a job that needed to be professionally done and completed on time and Chapman Fence of Jefferson, GA. did just that. Knowing that the contractor was an American Fence Association member took all the guesswork out of the job for us.”
Founded in 1962, the American Fence Association benefits the fence, deck, and railing industry – as well as the consumer – by promoting the highest levels of professionalism, ethics, and product standards by disseminating information and educating its members.
Today, the American Fence Association is the largest organization representing the entire fence, deck, and railing industry in the United States and parts of Canada. With 31 member chapters serving the association, AFA offers several educational and certification options, along with providing networking opportunities to keep its members above and beyond their competition. AFA also reaches out to members from over 18 foreign countries.
“The American Fence Association is excited about being associated with NASCAR and the K&N Pro Series,” Lyle Buchanan, president of AFA, said. “We all share a commitment to safety and professionalism and see this as a great opportunity to promote AFA contractors.”
