The 60th Anniversary season at Berlin Raceway is officially underway, and Berlin Raceway is primed to host several grandstand events as part of the 155th consecutive Berlin Fair from July 19-July 24. The week-long event has a star-studded line up that is sure to entertain fans from all over West Michigan.
"We are very pleased with the events we have planned for Berlin Fair Week," said Michael Blackmer, President of Berlin Raceway. "This is one of our favorite weeks at Berlin Raceway. It is a great time for families to come out and enjoy all of the family-friendly activities that are offered."
Kicking things off for the Berlin Fair on Monday, July 19, will be the Christian music group Hark Up. Hark Up is a popular Christian group that performs at various special events around the West Michigan area. Tickets for the concert are only $8.00 for adults, while children 12 and under are in FREE.
The Demo Derby returns on Tuesday, July 20, along with the always popular School Bus Races. This year's demolition derby is hosted by the International Demolition Derby Group. The derby is open to trucks and vans, along with compact, midsize, and full size cars. This is sure to be one of the most popular nights of the week, as the School Bus Races always draw large crowds to Berlin Raceway. Tickets for the races are $10.00 for adults, and $5.00 for children ages 12 and under.
Wednesday, July 21, will be another exciting day at the Berlin Fair. The day's events include the Boost Mobile Freestylemx.com Worldwide Tour, which is a motocross tour that travels around the United States. The tour will feature X-Games Gold Medalist Kenny Bartram, "Mad Mike" Jones, Kyle Loza, and Matt Buyten. Also appearing will be "The Real Deal" Jim McNeil. Tickets for the motocross event are $15.00 for adults, and $10.00 for children 12 and under.
The Monster Truck Madness event will also be part of the 155th Berlin Fair. The highly anticipated monster truck show will feature Coopersville's Little Miss Dangerous, Project X, Amsoil Shock Therapy, Excaliber, Avenger, Wrecking Crew and War Wagon. The Monster Truck Madness tickets are $12.00 for adults, and children 12 and under are $5.00.
Closing out Fair Week will be the Budweiser Party Time Weekend from July23-24. Heat races will be the racing event for the night, however the entertainment does not end there. The post race party will feature a country music act that is yet to be announced, as well as a beer tent and pig roast for everyone to enjoy. "We really want to show the racers how much we appreciate their support, which is why this night is all about them. Racing, food, and music, a great night for all," said Blackmer. Tickets for the Friday night heat races are $5.00 for adults, and children 12 and under are free.
The week of events is then finished on Saturday, July 24 with all divisions running their feature races. The night is scheduled to have Late Models, Super Stocks, Modifieds, Pro Stocks, and 4-Cylinders as part of the racing action. Tickets are $10.00 for Adults and $5 for children ages 12 and under.
