As the leading source for short track auto racing coverage, there is always plenty of traffic to the Speed51.com website, but there are a few times of the year when that traffic multiplies – and the beginning of February is one of those times.
That’s because it is the time of Florida Speedweeks – when the World Series of Short Track Auto Racing takes place at New Smyrna Speedway, the DIRT Modifieds take on Volusia Speedway Park and the ARCA Racing Series starts their season at Daytona International Speedway.
Thousands of fans from all across the globe check out Speed51.com and listen to Speed 51 Radio to stay on top of what is going on at Florida Speedweeks. Now the opportunity is there for businesses to expose themselves to all of those fans through advertising opportunities on Speed51.com and Speed 51 Radio.
Advertising on the front page of Speed51.com is currently available as well as title sponsorship of reports from New Smyrna Super Late Model, Tour-type Modified, SK Modified or ASA-type Late Model events as well as the DIRT racing recaps. Rotating banner ads are available as well. All of the advertising will be designed by the staff at 51 and will include company logo, phone number (if applicable) and it will serve as a link to the company website.
And while the readership numbers for the week are very high, the number of dollars that it takes to advertise is not.
“Advertising with 51 during Florida Speedweeks can cost much less than you would think,” said Mike Twist, Editor of Speed51.com. “Since the costs are low, I think that there are two groups of businesses who could really benefit from a marketing partnership. Businesses that are in the area of Florida where Speedweeks takes place can use 51 to let the racers and fans know what their business is all about and to drive those out-of-towners right to their front door. Pub 44 has been a partner of Speed51.com for years and I’ve seen that place fill right up on race nights as a result. Ocean Properties has advertised on 51 as well and their rental property sales have benefited from it as well.
“Another type of business that might be interested is the “hometown” business back up North that might sponsor a team at Speedweeks or be involved with a competitor at the event. Even if they are up on Long Island, off in the Midwest or in New England, those businesses can benefit from such a large number of readers and listeners who follow along with each and every night of Speedweeks coverage.”

Speed51.com has become a leader in online motorsports information by focusing on the Short Track Racing realm. 51 realized several years ago that there was a void in the industry for news and behind-the-scenes stories. Now, 51 is viewed by thousands of fans per day. The site fuels your Short Track appetite for NASCAR's Camping World East and West Divisions, NASCAR Modified Tours, the USARacing Pro Cup Series, and Super Late Models from all across the country and much more.
Speed51.com also received a graphical overhaul in February 2009, as the site now enters its tenth season of covering the short tracks from coast-to-coast and Canada.
