The Champ has a new home!  Defending USARacing Pro Cup Series Champion and three-time title holder Clay Rogers will team with L & R Racing for the 2010 series season.  Rogers will pilot the No. 16 USG Sheetrock Products Ford when the Series takes the green flag for the March 27 season-opener at Gresham Motorsports Park in Jefferson, GA.    

“L & R Racing is proud to announce that championship driver Clay Rogers will be driving our car in 2010,” said team owner, James F. Mosley, Jr.  “Clay’s performance in the Pro Cup Series has been outstanding and we are looking forward to a very successful year.”

Mosely added that long-time sponsors, United States Gypsum Company, Building Specialties, Tidewater Interior Products, and Racerap.com, have renewed and will continue supporting the team in their effort to capture the Pro Cup Series championship title in 2010.

Rogers joins L & R Racing after a successful two-year stint with the JCR3 team.  He racked up seven wins, seven poles and in 2009 claimed the Series title – his third.   

“L & R Racing is a championship caliber team,” said Rogers.  “They have a long-standing history in, and are very supportive of, the Pro Cup Series.  I am happy to have this opportunity.  I’m looking forward with great anticipation to working with this team.

The #06 will become the #16 with a new driver this season.
