Pro Cup Gets Its Season Started Down in Georgia
Track PR Report

The USARacing Pro Cup division and Gresham Motorsports Park have a lot in common.

Both groups are the new face of old favorites. In the case of USAR Pro Cup, they used to be the Hooters Pro Cup Series. For GMP, it is a shining, all-new racing facility where Jefco, Georgia International and Peach State Speedways stood for 40 years.

While the new beginnings a common bond for the race series and the race track, so is the past. GMP was one of the favorite hang outs for USAR as the division competed at the Gresham track times from 1997 through 2007. Clay Rogers, who won the most recent USAR event at GMP on June 2, 2007, is also entered when the division will make its return to Gresham Motorsports Park this Saturday, March 27.

The GMP race card will be highlighted by a 250-lap USARacing Pro Cup main event along with features in the Outlaw Late Models, Renegades and Mini-Stocks making this one of the most action-packed shows on the GMP schedule this season.

Joining Rogers as drivers who have pre-entered Saturday’s event are former USAR Pro Cup champion Benny Gordon, Caleb Holman, Brian Silas, Jeff Agnew and Billy Bigley, Jr. (a complete list of pre-entries is listed below).

Adult Grandstand Tickets for the full day of thrilling racing are just $25, Seniors and Active Military Personnel are $20 while Children 6-12 are $10. Children 5 and under will be admitted free.

Tickets are available at and at the GMP Administration Office Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

And remember – if you have a ticket stub from the GMP March 13 season-opening event, you’ll get $5 off an Adult Grandstand or Trackside Parking general admission ticket courtesy of Jim Gresham and Gresham Motorsports Park.
