Teams Flock To Open Test At Gresham Motorsports Park
Garvey Gets Back in the Driver's Seat
Track PR Report
More than 40 cars and teams took advantage of an Open Test Saturday afternoon as Gresham Motorsports Park officially took the green flag on the 2010 racing season.

Sunny skies and crisp temperatures greeted six divisions of race cars – Super, Pro and Outlaw Late Models, Trucks, Renegade Street Stocks and USAR Pro Cup vehicles during five-hour practice.

Veteran Mike Garvey made his return to the driver’s seat an enjoyable one as he paced Super Late Model practice for most of the day. Cale Gale, Jason Hogan and Joey Senter were also among the fastest cars in the Super Late Model division.

Ryan Heavner wasn’t as fortunate in practicing his ProCup car backing the No. 14 entry into the Turn 3 wall midway through the afternoon. Meanwhile, Lane Morrow tasted the GMP Turn 3 wall significantly shortening up his Dodge Late Model in the process.

A solid contingent of Outlaw Late Models saw 2009 World Crown 300 Outlaw champion Todd Vanderford  along with David Murphy and Hoyt Stephens at the top of the speed charts.

Meanwhile, Matt Vasser and Aaron Calvert were among the quickest Trucks on hand for the practice that lasted until 6 p.m.
