Pair of Maine Drivers Look Ahead to Easter Bunny 150
PASS Champions Clark and Rowe Are Headed to Hickory
Team PR Reports

Johnny Clark -

Reigning PASS North Series champion Johnny Clark of Farmingdale, Maine, will compete in the PASS Easter Bunny 150 at Hickory Motor Speedway in Hickory, N.C., on Saturday, April 3. Clark is second in the 2010 PASS National Series standings after one of five events.

JOHNNY, TALK ABOUT FINISHING SECOND AT NEW SMYRNA IN JANUARY AFTER LEADING MOST OF THE 150-LAP EVENT.

"I was pretty bad on restarts all day. I was just a sitting duck.

"It would take me four or five laps to catch the guy in front of me (on restarts), I just didn’t have enough time at the end to get the lead back."

WHAT'S BEEN YOUR EXPERIENCE AT HICKORY MOTOR SPEEDWAY IN THE PAST?

"I don't know what it is about that place. I like it -- I really do. We always seem to have a really fast car there, but for whatever reason it's never fast at the end.

"We learned a lot of things the last time we were there. I feel like we learned enough to have a car capable of winning when we go back."

DO YOU HAVE A GOAL IN MIND FOR THIS WEEKEND?

"Hopefully, we'll go down there and have a good run and see if we can't get the (National) points lead."

Ben Rowe -

Four-time PASS North Series champion Ben Rowe of Turner, Maine, will compete in the PASS Easter Bunny 150 at Hickory Motor Speedway in Hickory, N.C., on Saturday, April 3. Rowe is the defending champion of the event.

BEN, HOW IMPORTANT IS IT TO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK WITH A NEW TEAM BEFORE THE PASS NORTH SERIES SEASON BEGINS IN A FEW WEEKS?

"Anytime we can get out and do this before we get our season started up here in the north, it's a good thing. Just getting a chance to be around the guys, work as a team and get to know each other better is only going to help us."

WHAT CAN YOU SAY ABOUT HICKORY MOTOR SPEEDWAY?

"I don't know what it is about that track. I just like it. I really don't know what it is. It's old and there's a lot of history there.

"The track (surface) is pretty worn out, so I think that brings the driver's ability into effect a little more."

IS IT TRUE THAT YOUR FATHER, INAUGURAL PASS SOUTH SERIES CHAMPION MIKE ROWE, WAS THE ONE WHO ENCOURAGED YOU TO GO TO HICKORY THIS WEEKEND?

"Things have been kind of slow at work, and my father decided we should go racing. I figured, 'Why not?' He kind of got the whole thing rolling."
