Series PR Report
Al Cook, Jr. took the lead on lap 5 and held off a hard charging Derek Griffin to win his first ever SUPERPRO feature event Sunday at Winchester Speedway.

Veteran Kevin Todd and young Eric Barcus brought the field to the green for the DJ Safety 50 presented by Race Status.Com. with Barcus jumping into the early lead. Al Cook moved quickly from his fourth starting position to gain the runner up spot on lap 3 and took into the lead on lap 5 with brother Tommy Cook grabbing second on the following circuit. Griffin moved inside of Al Cook coming out of turn 4 on lap 36 and the two battled side by side for the next several laps with Al Cook retaking the advantage on lap 45. He maintained a two car length lead to the checkers followed by Griffin, Griffith, Mattson and Tommy Cook. Todd held on for sixth followed by rookie of the race Reagan May, Royce Mason II and Barcus.
