GMP K&N Pro Series Weekend
Fans Can Meet Drivers at Event
Track PR Report

While there’s bound to be plenty of action Saturday when the NASCAR K&N Pro Series invades Gresham Motorsports Park for the American Fence Association 150 Presented by Mayfield Ice Creamier, the competition will actually take the green flag Friday at Funopolis Family Fun Center.

The big racing weekend will get underway with a fan-friendly ‘NASCAR Night’ at Funopolis Family Fun Center in Commerce, GA on Friday, August 27. Fans attending the 6-9 p.m. event at the five-acre fun park will be able to compete against a NASCAR K&N Pro Series driver in a number of different activities including go kart racing, team laser tag, bumper cars and various arcade games.

“We’re really excited to have NASCAR and the K&N Pro Series drivers visit Funopolis this Friday night,” said Mary Greenwood, owner of Funopolis Family Fun Center. “We’re looking forward to having a large crowd of people come out and compete against these drivers. It’ll be a fun for everyone, but then every day is a fun day at Funopolis.”

Top NASCAR K&N Pro Series East drivers expected to attend the Funopolis event include Darrell Wallace, Jr., Matt Kobyluck, Max Gresham, Eddie MacDonald, Mike Olsen, Jr., Miguel Paludo, Brett Moffitt, Ryan Gifford, Sergio Pena’,  Mike Cherry, Ty Dillon, Zach Germain, Ryan Truex and Brandon Haley.

The event will get underway with a 6 p.m. NASCAR driver autograph session before game competition begins. Fans purchasing a Funopolis Game Card or armband will be able to compete against the drivers from 6:30-9 p.m.

The Funopolis NASCAR Night will also serve as a charity benefit for the Banks and Jackson County Food Banks. Fans brining three non-perishable food items will receive a $5 Funopolis Game Card.

“We’ve helped the Banks and Jackson County Food Banks in the past and we know how giving the NASCAR community is, so we thought Friday’s NASCAR Night would be a perfect event for a food drive,” said Greenwood. “We’d like nothing better than to collect a bunch of food and give away lots of Funopolis Game Cards Friday night.”

Funopolis Family Fun Center is located at Banks Crossing – HWY 441 at I-85 (Exit 149) in Commerce, GA. For more information about Funopolis Family Fun Center, please log on to www.funopolisfamilyfuncenter.com.
