ASA PR Report

Mauston, Wisconsin's Kelly Bires will help comprise a star-studded field for the Swiss Colony All Star Challenge 100 at Madison International Speedway in Oregon, Wis. on Tuesday, June 29th. The event is a sanctioned series point-race for the American Speed Association® Kwik Trip Midwest Tour (ASAMT) presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment and grandstay.net.

Bires joins former NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champions Tony Stewart and Matt Kenseth in taking on the best Late Model racers the Midwest has to offer in the Tour's fifth race of the 2010 season. After winning this event in 2006, Bires is eager for another victory.

The 25-year-old Bires, a former ASA Late Model Challenge Series champion, has competed in the NASCAR Nationwide Series and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series amassing three career top-five finishes and 13 career top-10 finishes across both series.

"It's always great to come back to Wisconsin and race in front of my home-state fans," said Bires. "The Midwest Tour is full of many talented racers and having Tony and Matt in the show will make for an exciting race."

"Kelly will be a great addition to this event," added Steve Einhaus, ASAMT Vice President. "He has a huge following in Wisconsin and he has won at Madison before. He'll have the car to do it and we couldn't be happier that he is coming to race in the ASA Midwest Tour once again."

Bires's Late Model will be sponsored by Krugerfarms.com.
