The American Speed Association® Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment and grandstay.net welcomes Hedman Husler Hedders as the official hedder company for all three ASAMT divisions in 2010.
"The ASA Midwest Tour has been on our radar for a few years. They have built one of the strongest Super Late Model Tours in the country and I felt it was very important for Hedman Husler Hedders to become involved in their series. We have done a lot of testing with B&B racing engines. We have an exceptional piece available and are very confident that ours will be the preferred product of all of the competitors," stated General Manager Chris Vandergriff.
Hedman Hedders started as a one-man shop in 1954 by Bob Hedman. He sold his highly sought after exhaust tubes to fellow racers on the salt flats of the Mojave Desert as a way to make a few bucks for his racing hobby. This quickly turned into the premier hedder manufacturer for both racing and street hedder marketplaces.
Hedman gained the reputation for building hedders that gave the most in power for the dollar and quickly became the brand of choice among racing's elite engine builders, racers, and race series.
In 2010, Hedman Husler Hedders will sponsor a hard charger award. At each event, competitors who advance the most positions will earn the title of the Hedman Husler of the Race. Each division will receive a complete hedder system courtesy of Hedman Husler Hedders.
"Chris has really stepped up his game this year in the tour and we have expanded our relationship to all three divisions. Their product is some of the finest craftsmanship I have seen on a set of hedders in all the years I have been around racing. Their performance numbers after our testing was substantial. We have a great TV package put together for Hedman Husler Hedders, and we are very pleased with their aggressiveness in our series," stated ASAMT Vice President, Steve Einhaus.
Race fans and drivers will be seeing a lot of Hedman Husler Hedders throughout the 2010 season. In addition to heavy involvement with the televised production, Hedman will also be sponsoring the victory lane backdrop which will be called the "Hedman Husler Winner's Zone".
