The ASA Late Model Series has prided itself as "America's Premiere Short Track Racing" over the past seven seasons. From the days of the original USPRO Cup Series in 2003 up to the upcoming 2010 racing season, the premiere template bodied / crate motored series in country have been the innovators in short track racing.
As the 2010 campaign approaches, the ASALMS Challenge Division is moving forward and taking that next innovative step in the short track racing industry with the all-new Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang bodies, combined with the revolutionary LS3 Crate Engines. With all the buzz surrounding the upcoming season, a title sponsor was only a matter of time for the Lexington, Michigan based series and that time is now!
Sunoco Race Fuels, which was recently announced as the Official Fuel of the series and has been the official fuel of NASCAR since the 2004 racing season, is stepping up in a huge way for the ASA Late Model Series for the 2010 racing season and beyond;
For the foreseeable future, the ASA Late Model Series Challenge Division will now be known as the Sunoco National Tour as Sunoco Race Fuels and the ASA Late Model Series have come to terms on a contract for Sunoco to become the title sponsor of what was known as the Challenge Division. The ASA Late Model Series Northern Division will see a slight change in it's' name as it has been shortened to the ASA Late Model Series.
