Five ASA Member Tracks will be in action this weekend. Thunderhill Raceway will make a second attempt to open their 2010 season as Mother Nature prevented that last weekend and Tucson Raceway Park has a huge opener planned for this Saturday night. East Bay Raceway Park, Desoto Super Speedway and Orange Show Speedway will also be in action this Saturday night.
DESOTO SUPER SPEEDWAY (Bradenton, FL)
The fast half-mile oval will be busy this Saturday night with a great variety of racing on tap. The TBARA Wing Sprints, Bombers, Truck Series, Street Stocks, Mini Stocks, Flyin 4's, and Magic 4's will be in action. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. with racing at 7:00 p.m.
EAST BAY RACEWAY PARK (Tampa, FL)
"The Clay by the Bay" will host a great evening of racing action this Saturday night starting at 6:30 p.m. The Late Models, Limited Late Models, Street Stocks, Open Wheel Modifieds, Outlaw 4's and Old Time Mods will be in action. Gates open at 5:00 p.m.
ORANGE SHOW SPEEDWAY (San Bernardino, CA)
After a great opening night last Saturday, Orange Show Speedway hopes continue it this Saturday night as they provide another night of "Best in the West Racing" action. The Late Models will have a 100-lap feature to highlight the evening. Also in action are the street stocks, Stock Car USA, Tour Trucks, and Stock OHV Go-Karts. Plus, the first 200 kids will get a free coloring book. Gates open at 4:00 p.m., Autograph session at 6:00 p.m. with racing at 7:00 p.m.
THUNDERHILL RACEWAY (Kyle, TX)
The full racing agenda for next Saturday night will include the fan-favorite TSRS (Texas Super Racing Series) Late Models, along with the TSRS Allison Legacys, Texas Pro Sedans, SportMods, ASA A-Line Super Stocks, Thunder Stocks, Grand Stocks and Mini Stocks.
Kids' bicycle races are on Saturday's list of activities, and kiddie rides (in the race cars) will also be offered at the end of the night.
Grandstand gates will open on Saturday a little earlier than usual - at 4 p.m. Qualifying will start at 4:30 p.m., followed by a Driver Autograph Session at 5:15 p.m. The racing action will begin with heat races at 6 p.m. and opening ceremony and feature races immediately afterwards.
TUCSON RACEWAY PARK (Tucson, AZ)
The 2010 season will kick off this Saturday night at Tucson Raceway Park, an ASA Member Track in Tucson, AZ. It will be a big night of racing with twin Super Late Model 50-lap features scheduled.
Super Late Model drivers Woody Cummins, Mike Egurola, Wayne Cassidy, John Foley, John Sewell, Tim Sanderson, John Gallagher, and Ronnie Searle are just a few drivers already expected to compete this season at Tucson.
Also scheduled for the season opener are twin 30-lap features for the Street Stocks as well as the Pro 4's, Factory Stocks, and Hornets will be competing. And if that is not all, the Armageddon Jet Car will light up the night.
Gates open at 5 p.m. with racing at 7:00 p.m.
