The chase for the 2010 Joe Gibbs Driven Racing Oil ASA Member Track National Championship has begun at many of the ASA Member Tracks with some starting this weekend. Here is what is happening among the ASA Member Tracks and Sanctioned Series for the weekend of May 14-16.
ISCARS DASH TOURING SANCTIONED BY ASA
(Dillon Motor Speedway, an ASA Member Track in Dillon, SC)
The second event of the 2010 season will take place this Saturday night at the 4/10-mile Dillon Motor Speedway. Danny Bagwell will be looking to continue his winning streak. Two 75-lap events will be on tap this Saturday night.
ASA MIDWEST SPORTSMAN TOUR
(Dells Raceway Park, an ASA Member Track in Wisconsin Dells, WI)
The second event for the new series will take place this Saturday night at the 1/3-mile oval located just outside of one of the United States popular tourist destinations. The 40-lap event will be part of the DRP weekly program.
ASA MEMBER TRACKS
Will be back in action on Friday, May 21st.
BIG COUNTRY SPEEDWAY
It will be a busy weekend for the track located near Cheyenne, WY. Free Friday this Friday night with five divisions of racing starting at 7:00 p.m. They will also host a demolition derby on Saturday at 2 p.m.
CORPUS CHRISTI SPEEDWAY
(Corpus Christi, TX)
Another great Saturday night shootout is on tap at Corpus Christi Speedway this Saturday night. The Bombers, Dwarfs, Front Runners, Texas Pro Sedans, Sport Mod, and Super Streets will be in action. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. with racing at 8:00 p.m.
DELLS RACEWAY PARK
(Wisconsin Dells, WI)
Dells Raceway Park presents Scout Night on Saturday, May 15th. Join us in honoring Scouting groups from around the area. Scout troops and leaders in uniform receive complimentary admission to the track. In addition, a fresh cut flower sponsored by Edgewater Greenhouse in Portage, will be handed out to the first 200 Mothers attending. Racing action includes the Late Models, Pure Stocks, and Bandits. In addition, the ASA Midwest Sportsman Tour will be returning to the Dells for a 40-lap feature, after the rain washed away their scheduled Opening Day event. Pit gates open at 2:00 PM, Fan Gates at 4:00 PM, Qualifying at 4:30 PM, and Green Flags fly at 6:30 PM.
DESOTO SUPER SPEEDWAY
A Full schedule is planned for this Saturday night. The Hoosier Elite Supers, Truck Series, Pure Stocks, Magic 4's, Flyin 4's, Street Stocks, and Bombers will be in in action. Gates open at 5 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m.
DILLON MOTOR SPEEDWAY
Along with the ISCARS DASH Touring Sanctioned by ASA competing this Saturday night, the USAC Midgets will also be in action along with the Chargers, 4-Cylinders, East Coast Ford Flatheads. Plus, Geoff Bodine will be on hand to sign autographs. Racing begins at 8:00 p.m.
EAST BAY RACEWAY PARK
ASA Sanctioned racing returns to East Bay Raceway Park on Saturday, May 15, 2010 with the Scott Thompson Memorial-$3800.00 to win for the Racecar Engineering Late Models. Also in action will be the Precision Kia Street Stocks, Outlaw 4's and the Motorstats.com 4 Cylinder Bombers.
GRAYS HARBOR RACEWAY
Grays Harbor Raceway the fast 3/8's clay oval ASA Member Track, located at the Fairgrounds in Elma, Washington, will be in action again this Saturday Night. Four divisions will be in action for the third points event of the year, the Whitney's Auto Group 360 ASCS Sprint Cars, Shipwreck Beads Modifieds, Cut Rate Auto Parts Hobby Stocks and the Hornets.
HARTFORD MOTOR SPEEDWAY
Double Down Twin Feature Night at Hartford Motor Speedway, Allegan County Night, show drivers license and get $2.00 off general admission. Kids 10 and under free with paid adult. General admission $10.00 gates open at 6 pm, hot laps for UMP Late Models, UMP Modified, Stock cars and Pure Stocks, racing begins at 8 pm.
It's the season opener this Saturday night. The Grand American Modifieds, Sportsman, Street Stocks, Hornets and Colorado Auto Racing divisions will be in action.
ILLIANA MOTOR SPEEDWAY
Another Saturday night of action located south of Chicago. Six divisions will be in action this Saturday night. The Late Models, Limited Late Models, Turbo Stox, Legends, Pure Stocks and Bandoleros will all be in action. Gates open at 4:00 p.m. with the first race at 7:00 p.m.
Track is open for testing this Saturday and on May 15th. Racing returns on May 21st.
LEBANON I-44 SPEEDWAY
Asphalt racing returns for the first time since 2002!!! I-44 Speedway has a complete new look to the 27 year old facility with new seats, restrooms, and new Asphalt on both the track and entrance to the racetrack. The new asphalt surface has been tested the last two weeks, and has already produced very fast and close racing. This will be the first week of the 2010 Monster Energy Chase for the I-44 Speedway Cup as the Late Models, Modifieds, Street Stocks, Bombers, and Chargers all start their season on the asphalt high banks. The gates will open to the racetrack at 4:00 Saturday afternoon for a free pre-race concert, with hot laps starting at 6:30, and a special opening ceremony at 7:15. The races will still start at the same starting time as always of 7:30. Grandstand admission will be $10 for adults, $6 for juniors ages 11-16, and free for kids 10 and under. The Budweiser Wild Side (Tier Parking), one of the famous features of the speedway is back. Fans are welcome to come and "tail gate" for $12 for adults, $7 for juniors, and kids 10 and under free. LONESOME PINE RACEWAY
Join us the week Saturday May 15th as we present Fairway Ford Courtesy Chevrolet Night at the Pine. Gates open at 4 pm, qualifying at 5 pm and racing at 7pm. The Late Models, Chargers, Street Stocks, Mod 4's, Pure 4's, and Renegades will be in action.
The Maverik Monster Trakker Monster Truck will invade the speedway as part of Smash-o-Rama presented by Canyon Honda. In addition to exciting racing, the evening will include a motorcycle demo derby and fireworks. The racing action will be provided by the Pepsi Sprintcars, College of Western Idaho Professional Truck Driving School Street Stocks, Tates Rents Hornets and Thunderdogs. Admission is $12 for adults, $9.50 for military personnel with ID and senior citizens, $8 for children ages 7-11 and children 6 and younger are free, as always. Gates open at 4 p.m. with qualifying at 5 p.m. and racing at 6:30 p.m.
ORANGE SHOW SPEEDWAY

Orange Show Speedway and Best in the West Racing will celebrate Armed Forces Day with free admission to all active and retired military personnel with valid identification and six main events. The headline attraction is round four of the season for the Super Late Models, whose car count has grown from 12 on opening night to 20 for the most recent race on May 1. They'll be joined by the Pick-A-Part Outlaw Figure 8s, Budweiser Legends Cars, M.C. Erectors Bandoleros, Stock OHV Karts and the wild Trailer racers. It's also a National Qualifier for the Budweiser Legends Cars, with provisional starting spots in October's national championship awaiting the top divisional finishers. Gates open to the public at 4 p.m., the on-track autograph session is from 5:50 to 6:30 p.m. and the first race is scheduled for 7 p.m.
RED RIVER SPEEDWAY

Racing action this Saturday night includes the USST Trucks plus the usual classes. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. with racing at 8:00 p.m.
ROCKY MOUNTAIN RACEWAYS
(West Valley City, UT)
Wheel-to wheel racing action returns to Rocky Mountain Raceways on Saturday, May 15, with the ASA Weekly Racing Series. After last Saturday's competitive Maverik Modified race, fans are eager to see who will take the checkered flag this weekend. With the largest field on the RMR Super Oval, Modifieds always provide competitive racing and edge of your seat racing action for fans. This weekend will mark the season debut of the Figure 8 Cars and Western States Equipment Figure 8 Trains. Fans fill the stands to cheer for trains such as Plum Crazy and Chuck-A-Rama. Gates open at 4 pm. Qualifying starts at 5 pm. Racing begins at 6 pm. Rocky Mountain Raceways will be hosting an autograph session from 4 pm to 6 pm at the bottom of the drag strip. Come early and meet your favorite oval, drag and motocross racers. Adult admission is $15 and youth are $5.
SHANGRI LA II MOTOR SPEEDWAY
(Tioga Center, NY)
The concrete castle will host a great Sunday afternoon of racing with the Race of Champions Modified Tour visiting. Pit gates open for the ROC'n Concrete Rumble on Sunday, May 16 at 8:30 a.m. and grandstand gates at 10:30. The first practice hits the track at 11:00 a.m. and ends promptly at 12:30. Race time is 1:15 p.m. following opening ceremonies. The ASA Late Models, Sportsman Modifieds, Street Stocks, and INEX Legends will complete the afternoon's racing card. The Foothills Toyota Tundra Racing Series - Round 5 featuring 410, 360, Sportsman Sprint cars plus the Outlaw Hornets will be in action this Saturday night. Grandstands open at 5:30 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m.
SOUTHERN OREGON SPEEDWAY
This Saturday night it's "Fox 26 KMVU TV Night at the Races" with the Modifieds, Super 4's, Dwarfs, Mini Stocks, and the Thrill Cars are back!!! Gates open at 4:00 p.m. with racing at 6:00 p.m.

VIRGINIA MOTOR SPEEDWAY
The World of Outlaws will be visiting this Saturday night. Adult admission is just $30, Senior (60+) and Military $25, Students 7 -17 yrs old $12 and Children 6 and under free. Pit passes will be $35.
The Wilmot Raceway will wave the first green flag of the season this Saturday Night May 15th. It's the First annual Open Wheel Extravaganza featuring a special appearance by the Badger Midgets, plus Winged 410 Sprints, Mododifieds, and Mini-Sprints. Pits are scheduled to open at 2pm, Grandstands at 4, Driver's Meeting will be just before 5 pm with Hot Laps to follow. On Sunday, we'll have Modifieds in a full show again plus Street Stocks and Fearless 4's. We still have lots of Streets & F4's to tech, so the pits will open at 2, grandstands 4.
Another exciting night of racing is on tap this Saturday night. The Super Late Models, Pure Stocks, Hornets, Youth Hornets and Bump to Pass will be in action. Gates open at 4:00, opening ceremonies at 6:00, side by side racing action to follow.
