Tuesday - 11:00pm ET - Good night from New Smyrna Speedway, here are the full field rundowns from tonight's feature events:
Crate Late - Feature Late Model - Feature Florida Modified - Feature 1729James (Joe) Yarborough Tour Type Modifieds - Feature 1596Russell (Butch) Perry SK Mods - Feature Super Late Models- Feature
Tuesday - 10:13pm ET - Drew Brannon has won the Limited Late Model feature at New Smyrna Speedway over Austin Pickens and A.J. Curreli. That is the final feature of the evening, but we hope to have results for you from all divisions shortly.
Tuesday - 9:49pm ET - Ted Christopher has won the Tour-type Modified feature over Jimmy Blewett, Chuck Hossfeld, Ronnie Silk and Jon McKennedy.
Tuesday - 9:47pm ET - With four laps to go, TC is still leading. He is now pulling away.
Tuesday - 9:46pm ET - Robbie Fuller brushed the backstretch wall after the restart and dropped from fourth to a position outside of the top 10. Ted Christopher is still leading, but he is under heavy attack from Jimmy Blewett and Chuck Hossfeld.
Tuesday - 9:44pm ET - The green flag was about to come back out, but race officials found a rachet lying in turn three, so the restart was called off. We'll go green shortly.
Tuesday - 9:38pm ET - On lap 16, the cars of Eric Goodale, Matt Hirschman and Ryan Preece wrecked together in turn four. The #7NY of Ryan Newman is being called to pit road for officials to check over his car. Newman was running in the fifth position.
Shelly Perry and Bobby Grigas, III have both pitted.
Ryan Preece has pitted and is back on the track.
Ted Christopher, Jimmy Blewett, Chuck Hossfeld, Robbie Fuller, Ronnie Silk and Jon McKennedy are the top six runners right now.
Tuesday - 9:37pm ET - A sidenote - the Mod feature is 25 laps, not 30. I goofed and read the wrong line on the nightly schedule. Four eys aren't always better than two.
Tuesday - 9:35pm ET - Ted Christopher is now leading the race and he is pulling away from Jimmy Blewett, Chuck Hossfeld, Ryan Newman and Robbie Fuller. We're working lap eight.
Tuesday - 9:33pm ET - Jimmy Blewett took the lead on the start of the Modified race and is now out front at the conclusion of lap two. Ted Christopher is in second place and is applying heavy pressure to the leader.
Tuesday - 9:30pm ET - Hot laps for the Tour-type Mods are underway. Once they put some heat into their tires, everyone will tighen up and we'll be ready to go green.
Tuesday - 9:25pm ET - Last night's winner, Ryan Newman, will start on the pole for the Modified race thanks to the luck of the draw. Starting next will be Jimmy Blewett, Ted Christopher, Robbie Fuller, Chuck Hossfeld, Jon McKennedy, Matt Hirschman, Richard Savary, Kevin Goodale and Ryan Preece.
Tuesday - 9:20pm ET - The 30-lap Tour-type Modified feature is up next. Stay tuned.
Tuesday - 9:16pm ET - For the third time this week, Jeff Choquette has won a Super Late Model feature at New Smyrna Speedway (FL). The top five finishers were rounded out by David Rodgers, Wayne Anderson, Johanna Long and Jack Landis.
Tuesday - 9:09pm ET - The #58x of Nevin Gainey stopped on the track in turn four, bringing out the caution on lap 20 of the Super Late Model feature. It appears that the rear end failed on his car and he has since gone behind the wall and out of the race.
Tuesday - 9:07pm ET - Russ Shaw looped his #68 by itself in turn three on lap 15. The caution came out, but Shaw was able to drive away.
Tuesday - 9:01pm ET - The field has pretty much stayed single file after the restart.
Tuesday - 9:00pm ET - The green flag is out and Jeff Choquette jumped from the outside to take the lead away from Tim Russell on the first lap. After three laps David Rogers worked his way form the third spot to get around Tim Russell. The next lap Russell went for a spin in turn four, on the fourth lap, we are currently yellow.
Tuesday - 8:57pm ET - The Super Late Models are on the track warming up their tires for tonight's 30 lap feature.
Tuesday - 8:48pm ET - The 25-lap Florida Modified feature went off with only one caution period. Ryan Preece led from flag-to-flag to his #2x Bobby Judkins-owned Modified. Judkins isn't just one of the most storied car owners in Modified history, he is also Preece's Grandfather.
Nick Diano, Rodney Brooks, Kevyn Terry and Alan Bruns rounded out the top five.
There will be a brief intermission next and then the Super Late Models, Tour-type Modifieds and Late Models will hold their feature events.
Tuesday - 8:36pm ET - Ryan Preece started on the pole and has now led the first five laps of the Florida Modified feature. We've gone clean and green so far in that race..
Tuesday - 8:23pm ET - For the second night in a row, Patrick Laperle has won the Crate Late Model feature. He took the victory over David Wagner, Joey Gase, Kyle Maynard and Eric Chase.
Tuesday - 8:20pm ET - After three laps of running side-by-side with David Wagner for the top spot, Patrick Laperle has taken the lead on lap 18 of 25.
Tuesday - 8:18pm ET - Terry Horak looped his car by itself coming out of turn two and the caution is out again. We're still on lap 15.
Tuesday - 8:16pm ET - The Crate Late Models are getting ready to line up for a restart. That order will be David Wagner, Patrick Laperle, Joey Gase, Kyle Maynard and Eric Chase.
There will be 10 laps to go - so long as competitors stay out of too much trouble.
Tuesday - 8:09pm ET - Before the green even came out, a train of cars stacked up on the backstretch and ran into the rear of Cole Powell's car so hard that they flipped it over. Other cars in the mess included Tanner Berryhill, Rebecca Kasten and David Rigin.
Everyone drove away except for Powell. he's okay, but will need a wrecker to get his car back into the pits.
Tuesday - 8:06pm ET - The #23 of James Willer is going to the rear after he thumped Landon Cassill's #7 out of the lead and into the wall on lap 15. This put David Wagner into the lead with Patrick Laperle in second place.
Cassill's car has fairly heavy front end damage. He drove back to pit road, but his team does not appear to be hurrying to work on his car. Actually, Cassill has just taken off his helmet. Now his team is pushing their car behind the wall. They are done for the night.
Tuesday - 8:03pm ET - We spoke too soon, the caution came out on lap eight. It was for debris though, so the boys, and girl, are behaving themselves so far.
Landon Cassill has taken over the lead. James Weller, David Wagner and Patrick Laperle are chasing him.
Polesitter Bryce Walker has pulled down pit road under green.
Tuesday - 7:59pm ET - The Crate Late Models are running and Joey Gase is taking command of the race. Landon Cassill runs in second place.
Teams were told before the race that if they can't behave, time limits will be used and the race could be stopped short. So far, reading the riot act has worked because we are working lap four and...knock on wood...there hasn't been a caution yet.
Tuesday - 7:47pm ET - We have just learned the upper management of Speed51.com has decided to post a $151 bounty on Jimmy Blewett's head. The next SK Modified driver who can beat Blewett this week and win a feature will get the bonus cash. The catch? Blewett has to be running at the end of the race, so dumping him and ending his night early won't work.
Tuesday - 7:45pm ET - The Crate Late Models are lining up on pit road for their feature. It might be awhile though because there is a lot of fluid on the track and some Speedy Dry to clean up as a result.
Tuesday - 7:42pm ET - We had gone clean and green for most of the way for the SK Modified feature until lap 13. That is when things got interesting.
Jimmy Zacharias, Eric Goodale and Wayne Arute were all involved in an incident on the fronstretch. Arute got the worst of it, hitting the wall head-on. He exited the car uninjured, but the #14 car was damaged very heavily.
Meanwhile, the race was flagged complete two laps from the scheduled distance. Jimmy Blewett was declared the winner for the fourth time of the week. So far, he is undefeated in the SKs this week.
Bobby Grigas, III finished second. Frank Ruocco, David Cranmer and Ron Schultz rounded out the top five finishers.
Tuesday - 7:37pm ET - There are 10 laps down in the SK Mod feature. Jimmy Blewett still leads Bobby grigas. So far, the race has gone on without any caution periods.
Tuesday - 7:35pm ET - The green flag is out for the SK Modified feature. Jimmy Blewett jumped into the lead at the start. Bobby Grigas is a few cars lengths back from him, but from there, it is a ways back to the rest of the field. we're currently working lap three.
Tuesday - 7:30pm ET - Earlier in the day, the #5K Crate Late Model of Bryce Walker blew an engine in practice. The team has been hard at work replacing that engine and they are almost ready for it to race later tonight.
Tuesday - 7:25pm ET - We are back in the booth at New Smyrna Speedway and ready for some racing action. The pre-race festivities have taken place and now there are seven Florida Modifieds ready to go out and hot lap. After that, the features will begin. The SK Modifieds will run first.
Tuesday - 5:50pm ET - We are going to walk the pits to talks to some of the teams and drivers here and will be back online later on. Feature racing starts at 7pm and we will have full coverage of the divisions that are racing tonight at that time.
Tuesday - 5:18pm ET - Immediately after Tour-type Modfied qualifying, there were a half dozen Crate Late Models and Late Models that hot lapped the speedway. Things didn't go too smoothly for Late Model driver Chad Akins though - his #60 appeared to blow an engine going down the fronstretch. He came to a rest entering turn one in a cloud of smoke and will need a wrecker to make it back to the pit area.
Tuesday - 5:15pm ET - Here are the qualifying results for the Tour-type Modifieds today at New Smyrna:

The team will be heading down to New Smyrna tomorrow with plans to race here Thursday and Saturday nights with Michael Pope behind the wheel.
Tuesday - 4:30pm ET - Last night, there were mixed emotions for the winner of the Crate Late Model race as the event was cut short due to multiple yellow flags after 12 laps. Canadian Patrick Laparle took home his first win ever at the New Smyrna Speedweeks. The driver from Quebec said the team was going to go out and have good time and celebrate the win, however he apologized to the fans for the happenings that went on behind him during the event.
“That’s not how you want to win races,” said Laperle. “It was so crazy - we were doing restarts single file. A win is a win, but Jesus Christ that’s not the way we are supposed to drive. We’re happy we won, but I feel bad for the fans that they had to watch that race.”

Tuesday - 4:05pm ET - 2006 World Series Modified champion Andy Seuss has not been here yet this week, but he'll be coming before the week out. Word is that his team's hauler left its New Hampshire shop around 1pm today and that Seuss will be entering the Modified races here on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
Tuesday - 4:01pm ET - While we wait for qualifying to begin, a trio of Tour-type Modifieds have been allowed out onto the track to hot lap. Those machines belong to Bobby Grigas, Ronnie Silk and Frank Ruocco.
Tuesday - 3:55pm ET - Last night, we had an epic battle in the Tour Type Modifieds. Sprint Cup driver and 2008 Daytona 500 winner Ryan Newman climbed into the number #7NY Modified owned by Kevin "Bono" Manion for the 25 lap feature. Newman drove to the front after a poor qualifying run and squared off with Ted Christopher for the lead. After swapping the lead several times, Newman made the final pass and roared under the checkered flag as the crowd went crazy. After the race, we caught up with both drivers who provided the best action on the track all night.
“Teddy Christopher raced great, and it was just fun racing with him,” said Newman. “I admire him and what he can do in a Modified. He got a little tight and I took advantage of it. He raced me hard, he raced me clean, and we put on a good show for the fans. We had a bunch of cautions and that gave us a chance to work our way back to the front after a not so stellar qualifying run.”
Christopher wasn’t that upset by being beat out by a top level NASCAR driver. However, the tires changed the handling on the car that made his car push badly in the late in the race.
“Not to make excuse, but the stagger on our car closed up over a quarter of an inch,” said Christopher. “That was a lot of fun, if you are going to get beat by somebody might as well get beat by a cup guy. We’ll have another shot at him tomorrow. Hopefully, that will be a good race too.”
Tuesday - 3:45pm ET - Not too terribly far from New Smyrna, the Orlando Speedworld is in action this week with their annual Winternationals for Legends, Bandoleros and Thunder Roadsters. Our sister website, LegendsNation.com will be at the track to provide live updates throughout the day.
Tuesday - 3:30pm ET - The track is quiet here at New Smyrna as we await qualifying for the Super Late Models, Tour-type Modifieds and SK Modifieds. That is scheduled to begin at 4pm.
Tuesday - 3:20pm ET - There is a new arrival today in the Tour Modified ranks. The #79 Hillbilly Racing team and driver Ronnie Silk are in the house to finish out the week's racing activities. The team, which is owned by the Hill Family of North Carolina, are veterans of Speedweeks.
Tuesday - 3:05pm ET - Jimmy Blewett exited last night's Tour-type Modified feature prematurely. The reason? A blown engine. That won't end his week though...or even slow it down very much.
"We lost a brand new motor, but we're ok," said Blewett. "We have a trailer full of them. You don't come to Speedweeks unprepared."
Tuesday - 2:50pm ET - Bryce Walker had what appeared to be a massive engine failure in practice with his 5K Motorpsorts #5 Crate Late Model this afternoon. Walker ended up coming to a rest in turn one and got towed off the track with a large amount of Speedy Dry required to clean up the mess.
Tuesday - 2:40pm ET - Jeff Scofield is among the new entries in the Super Late Model division today.
