Pollard Continues His Roll With a Mobile Victory
Family Car Hasn't Finished Worse Than Second This Season

Whether it be a lucky penny in his pocket or pure momentum propelling him, something is going right for Bubba Pollard this season. His worst finish in his own car this season is a mere second.
Pollard carried that momentum along with the momentum from his CRA South win last weekend at Watermelon Capital Speedway (GA) and a second place finish in the Blizzard Series Amp Energy 100 at Five Flags Speedway Friday night with him to Mobile International Speedway on Saturday.
It seemed like Texan Casey Smith was going to steal the show as he was in his own zip code in front of the field at Mobile until lap 88 where a 3-wide battle between himself, Kyle Busch Motorsports driver Ryan Lawler, and Bubba Pollard shuffled him back to the third position and Lawler to the lead.
However, it was the pit strategy before that, which spiced up the Miller Lite Super Series event as Smith chose not to pit and Pollard pitted out of sequence five laps after the rest of the field.
"We had such a good car that we really didn't want to pit. But there weren't as many cars on the lead lap since they crashed a couple after everybody came in, and two tires is always better than no tires so we decided to come in and it paid off," Pollard grinned.
The strategy certainly did pay off as Pollard was able to navigate his way around Lawler in the final laps and put another win in the record books for his impressive 2009 season.
"Anytime you come down here to Pensacola and Mobile there is a lot of tough competition and you can't win them all but you really can't ask for a better season than we've had," Pollard said with satisfaction.
With stats like those, Andrew "Bubba" Pollard is definitely one to keep an eye on this season.
