Pro Shocks Shock of the Week
This Week's Big Surprise in Short Track Racing
As Decided by the Staff of Speed51.com

Every week, our esteemed panel at Speed51.com will determine the most improbable, fascinating or "shocking" moment from the week and award the Pro Shocks "Shock of the Week."  The winner each week will receive a product gift certificate from Pro Shocks, the leader in short track shock technology and performance.  At the end of the season, the most "shocking" moment will be awarded the "Shock of the Year" and the winning driver will receive a special gift from Pro Shocks.

For this week's "Shock of the Week..."
For only the second time, the person who won Speed51.com's Quarter Master Clutch Performance of the Week has doubled up and also won the Pro Shocks Shock of the Week.

That driver is Andy Seuss.  On Saturday night, Seuss won the second NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour event of the season at South Boston Speedway (VA).  It's a track where he and his team struggled last year.  Also, Seuss finished dead last in the first WSMT race of the year after a rocker arm failed in his car.  So just coming out of the SoBo race with a solid finish was what most observers expected from him.

Instead, Seuss motored through the field from his eighth starting spot and ran to the checkered flag.

Patrick Sheltra was the runner-up in the balloting for Shock of the Week thanks to his performance in winning his first career ARCA RE/MAX Series race at Salem Speedway (IN).  Sheltra has suffered multiple injuries in the ARCA opener at Daytona and this was his first start since then.

Also receiving notice from our panel this week were Trevor Bayne for making a last minute entry into the USARacing Pro Cup opener at Concord and winning the race; the fans at Thompson for braving chilly weather, weekend rain and a poor economy to pack the stands anyways; Jamie Tomaino for showing muscle and leading laps in the Icebreaker and finally T.J. Reaid for winning the GAS race at Watermelon Capital Speedway (GA).

For his “Shock” of a performance, Seuss will receive a product gift certificate from Pro Shocks, the short-track leader in racing shock technology and performance.  Based in Lawrenceville, Georgia, Pro Shocks has helped drivers on both dirt and asphalt perform better for more than 25 years.

Pro Shocks is proud to have the largest and most knowledgeable technical staff in the racing shock industry. For more information about Pro Shocks, log onto www.proshocks.com or call 770-995-6300.
