Denny’s of Concord Mills to Back
Hughes Motorsports for Remainder of 2009
51 Sports PR Report

Winning races on tough short tracks like Concord Speedway in North Carolina can certainly build up a hearty appetite.  With as much winning as Hughes Motorsports and driver Bobby Measmer, Jr. have done thus far in 2009, only one restaurant can cure the type of hunger that comes after a victory celebration – Denny’s.

That’s why Hughes Motorsports has partnered with Denny’s newest location at Concord Mills in Concord, North Carolina for the remainder of the 2009 season.  Bobby Measmer’s #14 will fly the Denny’s colors in all remaining Pro Late Model events at the nearby Concord Speedway, as well as for the team’s entry into the Allen Turner Hyundai Snowflake 100 at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida on December 5th.

“We are extremely proud to partner with Denny’s for the remainder of the season,” said Hughes Motorsports team owner Kevin Hughes, who works as Team Services Manager for Racing Electronics in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.  “We’re looking forward to winning the last couple races at Concord Speedway, then taking our celebration from victory lane to the Concord Mills Denny’s and having some great food and good times with the crew and our fans.”

The latest Denny’s to open is adjacent to the Concord Mills Mall, North Carolina’s most-visited tourist attraction.  The restaurant will also be the presenting sponsor of the Concord Speedway event on October 3rd, in addition to adorning the sides of Measmer’s Pro Late Model entry.  Hughes Motorsports and Measmer, a former Limited Late Model division champion at Concord Speedway, have enjoyed a successful inaugural season in the Pro Late Model division at Concord.  The team leads the division regulars with four feature victories.

“We have had a great season so far in our first year in the Pro Late Model ranks,” said Measmer.  “There are two races left on the schedule at Concord and we hope to bring our Denny’s of Concord Mills car into victory lane in both of them as we prepare for some big shows towards the end of the year like the Snowflake 100.”

Denny’s is the most recognized name in family dining providing good food and service for more than 50 years.  With approximately 1,500 restaurants across America and system wide sales of more than $2 billion, Denny’s is the largest full-service family restaurant chain in the United States.  Denny’s restaurants offer a casual dining atmosphere and moderately priced meals served 24 hours a day at most locations.  Denny’s is best known for its breakfasts served around the clock, including the Original Grand Slam®.  The lunch and dinner menu are increasing in popularity with a variety of cravable burgers, sandwiches, salads and other entrees. Denny’s remains dominant for the late-night crowd with an emphasis on appetizers and desserts.

Denny’s is the latest company to sign on with the successful Hughes Motorsports team.  Partners of the Hughes #14 include Racing Electronics, Rogers & Associates, RE/MAX on the Lake with Patty Betts, Speed51.com, Brunnhoelzl Race Products, Nelson Specialties, Simpson, ButlerBuilt Safety Products, FNO Race Cars, Schoenfeld Headers, Chico’s Bail Bonds, Thermal Control Products and Motorsports Designs.
