Tuesday - 6:40pm ET - The PASS Super Late Model heats are in the books and Louie Mechalides, Johnny Clark and DJ Shaw took the victories in the heat races.
We invite you to switch over to RaceTalkRadio.com as we will have live coverage of the tonight's action. Speed51.com's Editor Mike Twist and "Stat Boy" Elgin Traylor will be on the call of the action starting at 7pm.
Tuesday - 5:10pm ET - Adam Bates is here today after a diasterous past few days. Bates was involved in a wreck at Thompson on Saturday night that destroyed his only car. He lost the point lead for the PASS North Series as a result and was doubtful about finding a ride for tonight's event.
But the racing community stepped up to help out and Bates is running an all-black car from Jeff Taylor's Distance Racing Products. He borrowed an engine from Kelly Moore's #47 team and is here racing tonight thanks to a little help from his friends.
Tuesday - 5:00pm ET - Track workers at Lee USA Speedway have laid down a track treatment for tonight's race to help promote two-groove racing. The Super Late Models are working that in right now, but the results are likely to be very positive. The treatment had been used prior to Friday night's True Value Modified Racing Series event at Lee and a second groove was able to be used throughout that event.
Tuesday - 4:40pm ET - It has been a while since the PASS North Super Late Model Series has been to Lee USA Speedway. The last race held here for the PASS Super Late Models was back in 2004 when Richie Dearborn went to victory lane for the first time in his career.
Earlier in 2004, it was Tracy Gordon who won in an appearance by the PASS North Super Late Models. Gordon survived a rough race that day and ended up in victory lane with a badly mangled racecar that was missing several body panels.
This track also held the first ever PASS race back in 2001. It was Dale Shaw who found himself in victory lane on that day.
Tuesday - 4:30pm ET - We already had the first practice on the track for the Super Late Models and there were a few problems. The #6 of Steve Desmarais made some contact with the inside guardrail in turn three. Also, the #11 of Steve Johnson went around for a pair of spins after that - without any major damage.
Here is the list of cars who filed entries for tonight's race.
