KWIK TRIP IS EXCITED TO BE BACK AS THE TITLE SPONSOR FOR THE AMERICAN SPEED ASSOCIATION MIDWEST TOUR
ASA MW Tour PR Report
It’s early in the morning and the haulers are arriving at the pits at any American Speed Association Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment event. The teams are signing in, some still waking up, but that quickly turns around when they are greeted by a Kwik Trip employee offering some fresh Karuba coffee and Glazer doughnuts.

For the third year in a row, ASAMT teams will get to experience the hospitality that Kwik Trip provides at each event as it returns as the title sponsor for the Midwest Super Late Model series.

The family atmosphere that they have at their home office and 350 retail operations is also shared at each ASAMT event. “We at Kwik Trip really try to have a great relationship with all members of the ASAMT community by showing our support and gratitude for what they do, and they in return support Kwik Trip,” Jenny Frandsen, Personal Kwik Card Account Representative recently stated. “At Kwik Trip we have a family like culture and the officials, drivers, and their crews have become an extension of that family.  Kwik Trip also shows it's continued support by interacting with the drivers at every race.  We are there to shake their hands at the beginning of each race and wish them luck.  We also take part in the Winner Circle and congratulate all drivers on their race.”

What makes the relationship between Kwik Trip, Inc. and the ASAMT is that many of the races are near one of their 350 retail locations in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa. These locations include several full-service truck/travel centers and 40 Tobacco Outlet Plus stores that employ over 8,000 employees.

The relationship is a win-win for both parties as many of the ASAMT teams use Kwik Trip to fuel and stock up on items like their delicious Cheese Mountain Pizzas and Kwik-n-Low items like bread, milk, bananas, potatoes and onions.

If those teams forget something, they don’t need to worry when they get to the track, “We also bring various products to events for the drivers and their crews....hot Karuba Coffee on the cold mornings, thirst quenching Nature's Touch Water & Kwikade on those hot days, cookies and other snacks to keep them going on all of those long days,” Frandsen explained. “We also will have a few items they will have to wait to see...we will have our Kwik Trip Racing Hats and Calendars again this year....there is a new twist with this year’s calendar I think everyone will really enjoy!”

That twist will come with helping Kwik Trip’s association with Special Olympics, “We will be selling raffle tickets at various races this year to help raise money and awareness for the Special Olympics,” Frandsen announced. “We will also be selling the ASA Kwik Trip Midwest Tour Racing Calendars this year for $1.00 with the money going to Special Olympics.”

The relationship that Kwik Trip has established with the teams goes beyond the assistance they provide on race day. Their Kwik Card Plus program is another way to help the teams save money as Frandsen explains, “Kwik Card Plus is great way for people to save money while they shop our locations!  The card can be used at any of our Kwik Trip, Kwik Star, Hearty Platter Restaurant and Tobacco Outlet locations.  Kwik Card Account Holders will earn the following Kwik Rewards by using their card to pay for their purchases: NEW ACCOUNT HOLDERS - 5% on gasoline for either a 60 or 120 day introductory period and 10% on their eligible in-store purchases.  After the introductory period expires they will continue to save 10% on their in-store purchases and 3 cents on every gallon of gasoline and diesel they purchase using their Kwik Card Account.  EXISTING ACCOUNT HOLDERS will earn 3 cents on all gasoline and diesel fuel, plus 10% on their eligible in-store purchases.  The account holders can either choose to keep the Kwik Rewards for themselves or they can choose to donate them to their favorite organization!  If the Kwik Card Account holder designates their Kwik Rewards to go to an organization, the organization will receive everything the account holder would have received PLUS Kwik Trip will donate an additional 5% on top of their eligible in-store purchases.  The Kwik Card Plus card can be set up to be a Credit card or an ACH card, which works just like a debit card!”

“We are very excited to have Kwik Trip, Inc. return as our title sponsor for the third consecutive year,” Steve Einhaus, ASAMT Vice-president stated. “Gary Gonczy and his staff have put together an awesome program that our teams really appreciate and make our events so special. They go out of their way to make sure that every competitor has a positive experience. The teams really appreciate everything they do. Its a great relationship that everyone hopes will last for a long time.”

The ASAMT is now preparing for the 2009 season opener on Saturday, April 25 at Dells Raceway Park in Wisconsin Dells, WI, an ASA Member Track, for the running of the Race for the Gold, Bronze Race. The entry form is now available online at www.asamidwesttour.com.
