Speed 51 Radio to Broadcast ACT Invitational at NHMS
Short Track Racing News Leader Presents Live
Flag-to-Flag ACT Late Model Coverage
51 Sports PR Report

Short track racing fans throughout New England and beyond eagerly anticipate the NASCAR weekends at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, as the “Magic Mile” features tours such as the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and NASCAR Camping World East Series as precursors to the Sprint Cup series events at the Loudon, NH track twice a year.

This Saturday, as the NASCAR teams prepare for the next day’s SYLVANIA 300, another short track series will have a chance to showcase their skills at NHMS for the first time.  The American-Canadian Tour, better known as ACT, will hold a 100-lap Invitational at NHMS with the tour’s biggest names competing at NHMS in Late Models that race at short tracks throughout the Northeast.

And to help further enhance the exposure for the ACT teams competing on the grand stage at NHMS, Speed 51 Radio, the leaders in live short track race broadcasts, will provide live flag-to-flag coverage of the ACT Invitational on Saturday, September 19th via RaceTalkRadio.com.

“We are excited to have Speed 51 Radio and RaceTalkRadio.com cover the inaugural ACT Invitational,” said Fred Neergaard, Communications Director for New Hampshire Motor Speedway.  “This is a marvelous opportunity for those fans who can’t be at the speedway to enjoy what promises to be an outstanding race.”

SPEED broadcaster Bob Dillner and Mike Twist, Editor for short track racing news leader Speed51.com, will handle the play-by-play for the 100-lap feature on Saturday from NHMS, while Speed51.com’s Matt “Duke” Kentfield will call the action on pit road.

“This is going to be a very historic and very interesting event for short track racing," said Twist.  "It is giving short track teams a rare chance to race on a big league stage.  I'm honored to be able to be a part of this event and I think it is going to have so many interesting storylines that fans from outside of New England and Southeastern Canada are going to be able to enjoy this broadcast even if they have never heard of Joey Pole, Patrick Laperle or Brent Dragon.

“The weather for Saturday afternoon is already looking great, so I think this is going to be enjoyable for the drivers, teams and fans who listen in.  I know I'll be enjoying bringing all the action to the fans that can’t make it to the track."

Tickets for the New Hampshire Motor Speedway NASCAR SYLVANIA 300 “Chase” Weekend and for the ACT Invitational can be purchased online at www.nhms.com.

Fans unable to attend the action at NHMS can stay tuned to both Speed 51 Radio on RaceTalkRadio.com as well as Speed51.com for live coverage of all the weekend’s short track series festivities.  Speed51.com will provide live updates from both the NASCAR Camping World East Series event on Friday at NHMS, as well as the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour race Saturday.  Then, Speed 51’s coverage will switch to the online airwaves at approximately 5:30pm, following the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series feature at NHMS, for the live broadcast of the ACT Invitational.
