UARA Late Models Test at Rockingham Rockingham Speedway PR Report
Yontz and Caudill Complete Tire Test at One-Mile Oval
Alex Yontz and Jamie Caudill completed a tire test at the Rockingham Speedway on Tueesday aimed at determining if the UARA-Stars Late Model Series could hold a race at the famous one-mile facility.
The verdict? “The car drove real good here and I was impressed with the tires that we had, the tire wear looked very good,” explained Caudill driver of the No. 50 JR Motorsports entry.

A race for the UARA Series could be added to the 2009 schedule at the Speedway, most likely as a companion race to one of the ARCA RE/MAX Series races already scheduled for next season.

Earlier in the week, 16-year old driving sensation Ryan Glenski brought his Allison Legacy Series car to the “Little Rock” – Rockingham Speedway’s new half-mile race track.

Glenski was the first car to test on the track from a series that may one day race on the new track. The test was a success as the car worked very good on the track and would appear to make a great race with an entire field of cars.
“There is a lot of great racing series out there,” said Rockingham Speedway President, Andy Hillenburg. “We are looking at many of the potential race series to see which ones are a good fit for the track and our fans.”

Look for future announcements regarding the UARA Series as well as the Allison Legacy Series and the Rockingham Speedway. Do not forget about the next big race at the track – the Polar Bear 150.

The Polar Bear 150 will start up to 99 Street Stocks on January 1st, 2009 at 1:00 p.m.
