Pro Cup Championship Series Race Added For Southern National  From USAR Hooters Pro Cup PR
North Carolina Track Replaces Lakeland event
The Hooters Pro Cup Series has announced that the Aaron’s 250, originally scheduled for USA Int’l (Fla.) Speedway, will take place at Southern National Raceway Park on Saturday, Oct. 18.
“We’re certainly happy to have a quick resolution to this matter, and we would like to thank all the track owners that offered their services for this event,” said Gene Cox, USAR President. “We looked at a lot of different scenarios, but at the end of the day, we decided Southern National Raceway Park was the best fit.”

Since the SNRP wasn’t in the original lineup of Championship Series tracks, Hooters Pro Cup teams will be able to attend an optional, open test on Friday, Oct. 17.

“We didn’t want the Northern Division teams to see the track for the first time on Saturday morning before the race,” said Tony Cox, USAR Series Director. “Having an open test will level the playing field, which is exactly the point of the Championship Series.”

The Championship Series will feature two neutral tracks, Iowa Speedway and Rockingham Speedway, one track from the Northern Division, Mansfield Motorsports Park, and one track from the Southern Division, Southern National Raceway Park.
