Kelley Is Speedy in Super 8 Opener at Lanier Track PR Report
PLM Series Gets Going For the Season
The Headman Hussler Header Super 6 Series is a series of six point's races with 100 laps or more in the pro late model division separate from Lanier's NASCAR point's series. The races are run through out the year during special events as a way to give fans and drivers something extra to see and race for.

Joey Senter was the US Auto Sales pole winner, but as with most race tracks to help keep things interesting the field was inverted and Senter started fifth. With a competitive race throughout the 100 laps Paul Kelley pulled out the win.

Kelley was challenged numerous times during the race including some great side by side racing between him and Larry Jordan. Jordan and pole winner Joey Senter did not make it into the final top five but their efforts did not go unnoticed by the Lanier's fans. Kelley has been a familiar face in the Lanier winner circle through out his career.
Paul Kelley is no stranger to Lanier.
Lanier National Speedway had its first major event of the season with the RS Trucking Spring Explosion. With the threat of rain looming all day no one was sure if the races would get started. It ended up being a great night of racing finishing off with the Headman Hussler Header Super 6 Series race featuring the Akins Ford Pro Late Models.
Rounding out the top five wereFredrick Moore, Shaun Simpson, Rodney Benefield and Shane Sawyer.

For the first time this year the Pro Challenge Series cars will be running at Lanier this coming Saturday May 3. Along with the Pro Challenge Series, Lanier will be running all its NASCAR Whelan All-American Series divisions plus the Banderlaros and Legends Series. Gates open at 5 with racing beginning at 7:30.
