5K Motorsports Looking for Next Racer to Continue a Success Story
2008 ASA Late Model Rookie of the Year Team on the Hunt for Driving Partners for 2009
When Ken Wills founded 5K Motorsports in 2006, he set out to develop a top-notch short track development team that, with a solid group of talented staff members, would accelerate young drivers’ careers towards NASCAR stardom.

“We have a solid group of people that have accomplished championships at various levels of racing.  Our team has experience racing at the vast majority of short tracks in the country.  We can combine our years of success as a team and the success of our team members to showcase our drivers to help them achieve their future goals.”

Based in Slinger, Wisconsin, 5K Motorsports has brought young talents such as Kris Stump, Derek Thorn and, most recently, Brett Moffitt to success on the short tracks from the Upper Midwest and beyond.  The key to that success has been the resources available to the 5K team in the past.  Now, with the addition of ASA championship Crew Chief Deon Deneau in 2008, 5K is prepared to expand upon past triumphs towards success in 2009 and beyond.

Deneau brought 5K Motorsports a career full of victories and championships under the tutelage of legendary short track racers and Tim Sauter and Butch Miller.  Deneau transferred that past success to 5K Motorsports in 2008, where he served as Crew Chief for Moffitt’s run to the ASA Late Model North Rookie of the Year title.

“Everyone at 5K Motorsports is committed to racing at a championship level.  We have proven success of showcasing younger drivers in Late Model-style cars.

“Plus, the addition of Deon Deneau to our team was the missing ingredient in the overall success for 5K Motorsports.  With his background and proven success, he has helped take 5K Motorsports to another level.”

For more information on becoming the next driver to find success with 5K Motorsports, contact Ken Wills at   (262) 388-0293.  Be sure to visit the official online home of 5K Motorsports, www.5kmotorsports.com.

The success Wills had hoped for from the beginning with 5K Motorsports came to fruition quickly, as the team saw victory in the prestigious ASA Late Model portion of the Spring Clash event at Music City Motorplex in Nashville, Tennessee, back in 2007.  Since then, 5K Motorsports has accentuated their race team resume with a Rookie of the Year in the ASA Late Model North Division and a runner-up finish in the overall standings.

Now, with a solid team led by Team Owner Wills and noted short track Crew Chief Deon Deneau, 5K Motorsports is on the hunt for a driver to continue the team’s high standards for success.

“We are looking to partner with a driver that is committed to a professional racing career based upon our racing structure that has proven success,” said Wills.  “We are looking to race with an individual or individuals that are willing to compete 30 to 40 times at different venues.
