The first of two stops at Elko Speedway will be on Saturday, May 23rd. This will be the first of three races in the Gopher State.
After a fast start to the 2009 season, the ASAMT will take a breather and re-group at a new venue on Saturday, June 20th for the first ASAMT event at Illiana Motor Speedway, an ASA Member Track, in Schererville, IN. The half-mile oval has a great history of Super Late Model racing going back to the famous ARTGO racing days and has hosted American Speed Association National Tour events.
The ASAMT teams will then travel to Cedar Rapids, IA for a Friday, July 3rd event at Hawkeye Downs Speedway.
After the second "Race for the Gold" event at Dells Raceway Park on Saturday, July 18th, the teams will get together on Tuesday, August 4th for the famous Dixieland event at Wisconsin International Raceway in Kaukauna, WI.
The second visit to the Gopher State will be on Sunday, August 16th for the annual Sunday night classic short track battle at Raceway Park in Shakopee, MN.
The teams will then head to the upper peninsula of Michigan for the annual Labor Day event on Sunday, September 6th at Norway Speedway, an ASA Member Track, in Norway, MI.
A week later, it's back to Dells Raceway Park for the finale to the "Race for the Gold" Series on Saturday, September 12th.
The final visit to the Gopher State will take place on Saturday, September 26th as the ASAMT will make its second visit to Elko Speedway.
The 2009 champion will be crowned during the famous Oktoberfest Race Weekend on Oktober 10-11 at La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway in West Salem, WI.
"We have one of the best competitive series in the United States and we feel that we are going to be competing at some of the most competitive tracks in the Midwest," Steve Einhaus, ASAMT Vice-President stated. "We do have some great events on our schedule including the 'Race for the Gold' series at Dells Raceway Park. This could be our most competitive season so far in our short history."
The next event for the ASAMT will be the 2008 Championship Banquet on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells, WI.

Actually, Dells Raceway Park, an ASA Member Track, will be hosting three events with one being a non-points event, as the track and the series will host the first ever "Race for the Gold" three-part race event. Each event will be a 125-lap event.
The "Bronze" event will also serve as the season opener on Saturday, April 25th. The "Silver" event will be the non-points event on Saturday, July 18th and the "Gold" event will take place on Saturday, September 12th. The overall winner will receive a bar of gold (amount to be determined).
The second event of the 2009 season will be at Wisconsin's Fastest Half-Mile, Madison International Speedway, an ASA Member Track, on Sunday, May 3rd.
From the high banks of MIS to the high banks and fast 7/8-mile tri-oval at Iowa Speedway in Newton, IA on Saturday, May 16th for the third event of the season. Last year, close to 15,000 fans were on hand to watch the best Super Late Model drivers in the Midwest compete at this first-class facility.
