Logano to Wheel Venturini Motorsports ARCA Entry at Rockingham From Team PR
Rising Star To Enter May Race at One Mile Speedway
It was a announced last week that the new sensation driver Joey Logano and Venturini Motorsports have agreed to put together an all out effort to capture the ARCA race coming up May 4, 2008 at the newly reopened Rockingham Speedway.

“Since the Toledo race last year, we have been working with J.D. Gibbs from Joe Gibbs Racing to try and help their new up and coming drivers gain some experience in the bigger ARCA cars. To know that Gibbs feel confident in our ARCA racing program to send Joey to us is a honor.” says Billy Venturini.

“Over the winter months Venturini Motorsports has spent a lot of time and effort building their program stronger. They purchased 5 more Gibbs Racing Chevrolets and a DEI Chevy, bringing their total prepared cars to 16, along with some engines. The engine program for Rockingham with be supplied by Pro-Motor Engineering.

“To be able to get back racing in such a good car with a great racing family like the Venturini’s, has me real excited about testing this week and then racing in May at Rockingham!” exclaimed Joey Logano.

“We have been working our way to get to this point in our racing program since last year. Billy has stepped up as the key to making this happen,” said Bill Sr. about his son Billy. “Bringing good, young talent into our shop with the proper funding so we can run very competitively is what our program is about. With the rising cost to race today, Billy has stepped out of the driver’s seat and become the crew chief and darn good one at that.”

Joey Logano won the 2007 NASCAR Busch East Series championship...and now he will try his hand at ARCA racing.
