ACT Castrol Series - Alexandre Gingras of Quebec, QC halted Donald Theetge’s recent dominance at the 5/8ths mile Circuit Ste-Croix stock car oval Sunday in the Série ACT Castrol’s fifth event of the season. Gingras, who started sixth on the grid, took the lead for the second and final time on the 19th circuit of the Stock Car Mania 100 and cruised to an easy win over Theetge from Boischatel, QC. Val Belair, Quebec’s, Jean-François Déry was third. Patrick Laperle from St-Denis, QC and Karl Allard of St-Felicien, QC completed the top five.
ASA Late Models - The ASA Late Model Series Southern Division returned to action Saturday night, with a field of 28 cars taking the green at New Smyrna Speedway (FL). Homestate hero Travis Cope started from the pole, but the race belonged to rookie Brandon Johnson, who started on the outside pole and led all 100 laps to win. Jeff Choquette, Jason Boyd, Brian Blum and Sean Bass rounded out the top five finishers.
ASA Midwest Series - The largest crowd in Norway Speedway (MI) history watched local hero and ASA Midwest Touring Star Jamie Iverson take home the victory in the Norway 100 over a hard charging Donny Reuvers. 1) Iverson 2) Reuvers 3) Dave Feiler 4) Kris Kelly 5) Josh Vadnais
CRA Super Series - The Elmer Musgrave Memorial 100 at Illiana Speedway (IL) has been postponed to an undetermined date due to rain throughout the weekend.
Georgia Asphalt Series - Russell Fleeman won an exciting GAS event at Peachstate Speedway (GA) on Saturday night. Fleeman was third going down the back stretch when leaders Paul Kelley and Bubba Pollard spun in turn three. PASS North - Cassius Clark was the dominant force when the PASS North Super Late Model Series visited Scotia Speedworld near Halifax, Nova Scotia for the Forbes Chevrolet-Olds 200 on Saturday night.
After Shawn Turple, Travis Benjamin, Richie Dearborn and Johnny Clark all led laps early on, Cassius Clark took command of the event just after it was one-quarter finished. He stayed out front until making a pit stop for two new tires and fuel, then reassumed the lead from Johnny Clark with 30 laps to go and sailed to victory from there. The margin of victory for Cassius Clark was over three seconds.
PASS North point leader Ben Rowe finished in the runner-up position, with Trevor Sanborn taking the third position in his first visit to the Scotia facility. Johnny Clark finished fourth with Turple being the highest finishing Canadian driver in the fifth spot.
NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour - Donny Lia won his third Tour race in five starts so far this season by visiting victory lane at Thompson International Speedway on Thursday night. RoC Modifieds - Ken Wooley is no stranger to Wall Township raceway and he showed it on Saturday night by holding off Matt Hirschman to win the RoC Modified event there. Tony Ferrante, Rowan Pennick and Tommy Farrell rounded out the top five.
SLM - Maine's Kirk Thibeau headed north to New Brunswick International Speedway where he topped the latest round of the NBIS "Best of the Best" series. Thibeau won over last year's Carquest Maritime Pro Stock Series champion Lonnie Sommerville and Greg Fahey, who drove the highest-placed crate engined car in the event.
TVMRS - Hometrack veteran Vinnie Annarummo (commonly known through New England as Vinny Who?) won Saturday night's True Value Modified Racing Series event at Seekonk Speedway over last week's winner at Lee, Louie Mechalides. Andy Seuss picked up a ride driving for Gary Cassela and finished third. Dwight Jarvis and Peter Jarvis rounded out the top five finishers.
