Tim Jordan To Represent Waterford Speedbowl At Speedway EXPO
22-Year-Old Champion Looks Forward to Meeting Fans and Racers This Weekend
There are many perks that come with earning a racing championship – trophies, jackets and a check are just a few.  Another one is the honor and responsibility to represent your track or racing series as a champion.  That is what Tim Jordan will do this weekend at the Speedway EXPO show in West Springfield, Massachusetts.
Jordan will appear at the show with his #47 Late Model as a 2006 champion at Waterford Speedbowl.

“It’s definitely an honor just to be there with other champions and represent the division and the track,” said Jordan.  “It’s a nice thing to do for the track and myself.”

The three-day show will give Jordan a chance to mingle with other competitors and fans from throughout the Northeast.  It’s a welcome change from the typical at-track routine of a driver.

“Usually when you are at the track, you are focused and you’ve got a schedule set for you.  We’re not Nextel Cup drivers and we don’t have that kind of a schedule, but it is busy.  You get to the track and unload, then you buy your tires and set your tires, practice and you’re running around with so many things going on a given night.  You really don’t have a chance to meet people or talk to the fans.  So it’s nice to get the season started like this.”

The Speedway EXPO show is a production of Dr. Dick Berggren’s Speedway Illustrated magazine.  Although this is their inaugural show, the event already has plenty of credibility in the racing community – and will also attract many other drivers for appearances throughout the weekend, including NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion Todd Bodine, Nextel Cup Series drivers Kenny Wallace and Clint Boyer, as well as television personalities Mike Joy and Jeff Hammond.

“Having Dick Berggren associated with the show automatically brings it up to the level that it may have not been at for a few years (previously, the Racearama Trade Show took place annually at the same location under different management).  Several top names are coming in and diverse companies who are involved in racing will be there.  Even in the forms of motorsports at the show, there’s diversity.  There will be all sorts of vehicles there – oval track, drag cars, motorcycles and more.  I think that it will be a great show.  I think that it will have a big turnout.”

The Speedway EXPO takes place from March 2nd-4th at the Big E in West Springfield, Massachusetts.

Tim Jordan will return to the Late Model ranks in 2007.  For more information on Jordan, please contact Mike Twist at 207-590-1786 and check out www.timmyjordan.com.
