ButlerBuilt Safety Systems Enjoy a Dominant Speedweeks
Speedweeks Victors Use ButlerBuilt Seats – Including Daytona 500 Winner
Only one name was synonymous with success during Florida Speedweeks 2007. Only one was dominant from the big track in Daytona to the short tracks of New Smyrna Speedway and Volusia County Speedway in a way that no one has ever seen before.
But it wasn’t a driver. It was ButlerBuilt Safety Systems.
ButlerBuilt has been, for many years, the industry leader in racing seats and safety equipment for racers from the biggest stock car series to asphalt and dirt short tracks worldwide. ButlerBuilt has produced seats that thousands of drivers have climbed out from in victory lane at all different types of tracks and racing events, and that dominance for ButlerBuilt customers continued during Florida Speedweeks this year.
“ButlerBuilt has always prided itself on providing a safe and comfortable seat system that also, and most importantly, gives the driver accurate feedback to deliver the maximum performance potential of the car on the track,” said Brian Butler, president of ButlerBuilt. “This proper mix of elements continues to allow our drivers the opportunity to put themselves in a position to win, and win is exactly what our drivers did in Florida during Speedweeks.”

the Daytona 500, with loyal customer Kevin Harvick’s thrilling victory. Harvick won the NASCAR Busch Series race at Daytona the day before the 500 using a ButlerBuilt seat, as well. NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Daytona winner Jack Sprague also went to victory lane utilizing a ButlerBuilt seat.
But the success for ButlerBuilt was not limited to just the big track at Daytona during Speedweeks. Just a few miles away, the dirt track at Volusia County Speedway’s victory lane was visited frequently by ButlerBuilt customers. Florida DIRTcar Nationals winner Craig Dollansky and World of Outlaws Late Model winners Josh Richards and Kerry Madsen all brought ButlerBuilt to Volusia County’s winner’s circle.
At New Smyrna Speedway, John Blewett III (two Tour-Type wins) and Jimmy Blewett
(three Tour-Type and five SK wins) dominated the Modified competition during the World
Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing using ButlerBuilt safety systems. Also, 14-year-old
Tyler Townsend brought home his first win in the ASA/Crate Late Model division at New
Smyrna in a ButlerBuilt seat.
That success on both the big track and short track levels during Florida Speedweeks
made ButlerBuilt the most successful name in racing during the two weeks of non-stop
racing in the Sunshine State.
The proof is in the results. ButlerBuilt Seat and Safety Systems are proven products for
every level of racing. After all, why choose anything but the best?
