Gerhart Wins Another Race At Daytona
Friday, 11:30am ET - Cars are rolling through pre-qualifying inspection and time trials are set to begin within the next 30 minutes at Daytona.  Jeremy Clements will be the first of 65 cars to attempt a qualifying lap and the #79 of Mike Koch in the final car int he qualifying order.

Thursday, 5:30pm ET - Today's practice session is over and the official times have been released by ARCA RE/MAX Series officials.  To nobody's surprise, Bobby Gerhart set the fastest lap of the five-hour session with a lap of 49.486 seconds at 181.870 mph.

Following Gerhart on the speed charts were Frank Kimmel, Ryan Howard, Brandon Whitt and Erin Crocker.

Other notables were RCR development driver Timothy Peters in sixth, Steven Wallace
Josh Wise's #22 Toyota.
in seventh and Roush Racing Cup driver David Ragan in 15th.

The only incident in practice came when Darrell Basham cut a tire on the #34 Anti Monkey Butt Powder Chevrolet.

Thursday, 3:45pm ET - Chase Pistone has had an engine problem with his Bobby Jones Racing entry.  He did not drop any oil on the track though and practice continues with a little over an hour remaining.

Thursday, 2:30pm ET - There are 65 cars that have made it through technical inspection and are practicing for the ARCA 200 at Daytona.  Currently, Erin Crocker tops the speed charts with her pink and white #98 Dodge.

There are two Toyotas in the garage area - Josh Wise's #22 fielded by Eddie Sharp Racing and the #51 driven by Brandon Whitt.

So far, practice has been clean and green, with no wrecks or incidents.

Practice started at Noon and will run until 5pm ET.  Qualifying for the ARCA 200 is scheduled for Noon on Friday.  Stay tuned to Speed51.com for continued updates from the track.

Saturday, 6:30pm ET - Bobby Gerhart won the ARCA 200 event on Saturday afternoon.

Steve Wallace was out of the race early after he had early problems with a tire rub.  He was having trouble again on the track after a pit stop.  Wallace signaled car trouble, but ended up starting a chain reaction that took out several cars and was out of the race on lap 25.

Mario Gosselin and Gerhart were running side-by-side for the first position early in the race, but Gosselin ended up making contact with the wall, which ended his chances for the win.

Pole sitter Erin Crocker's car was fast but seemed to have no drafting partners.  Anytime Crocker went to the outside, nobody would fall in line with her.  Crocker ended up spinning on a restart, pitted and came back on track, but finished the race in the 20th position.

SLM star Tim Russell was an innocent victim of a crash that involved the #55 of Damon Lusk.
