Speed51.com Will Be In The Middle of a Big New England Weekend
Busch East and Mods at NHIS Get Trackside Now Treatment
In New England, this is what they call “a big league weekend.”  The Red Sox are playing at Fenway Park, the Patriots are filling Gillette Stadium, Aerosmith is playing the Tweeter Center near Boston and the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series is racing at New Hampshire International Speedway.
But the action isn’t just limited to those headliners.  There will also be a good chunk of short track racing in the region, and Speed51.com will be right there to bring it all to the fans.

Seven members of the Speed51.com staff will spring into action this weekend at NHIS and White Mountain Motorsports Park to completely cover the fall edition of New England Speedweeks.

From Thursday through Saturday, the popular short track website will feature their live, up-to-the moment Trackside Now coverage of the NASCAR Busch East Series and NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour from the NHIS “Magic Mile.”  Then, on Saturday night, the team will head up I-93 to cover the PASS North Super Late Models at White Mountain.

Like thousands of other fans, Speed51.com co-founder and SPEED TV personality Bob Dillner is excited about the weekend.  Dillner is a native of Long Island and spent his early years touring the short tracks of New England.

“It’s always good to go home and that’s what New Hampshire Int’l Speedway is to me,” said Dillner.  “I grew up at racetracks across New England and when they created the ‘Magic Mile,’ it was the greatest thing since sliced bread.  I’ve been going there since it opened and now we are able to keep people up to date with everything going on with the Mods and the Busch East Series at NHIS thanks to our up-to-the minute reports with Trackside Now on Speed51.com throughout the weekend.  If you can’t get to New Hampshire, Trackside Now on Speed51.com is the next best thing.”

The weekend won’t be all work and no play for Dillner either.

“It’s the best of all worlds.  Our group at Speed51.com will be all over the short track action at NHIS, plus what may be the best race of the weekend, the PASS North Super Late Models at the beautiful White Mountain Motorsports Park.  That’s just a short drive away from NHIS on Saturday night for us.  But don’t let us fool ya; we’ll be at Fenway Park on Friday night rooting our Red Sox to the playoffs and at the Patriots game on Sunday night hoping for some revenge on the Chargers.  It’s the ultimate sports fan’s weekend in New England, it’s just a shame we can’t squeeze Aerosmith in as well.

Of course, there is some work to be done at NHIS.

“Plus I get to continue to do something I’ve always wanted to do; work the big leagues of NASCAR and we’ll do that with SPEED’s coverage of the first race in the Chase for the NEXTEL Cup.”

Speed51.com’s Trackside Now coverage from New Hampshire will begin with practice and qualifying on Thursday, and continue with the Busch East race on Friday and Modified feature on Saturday afternoon.
