Fans of the former ASA National Tour and competitors with cars for that series can now offically rejoice.  The American Stockcar League has released their 2005 schedule.  There are currently ten events on the card for the new series, but that could expand as negotiations continue with various tracks.

Owners of old ASA NT cars will have at least ten chances in 2005 to race them again.
The series will kick off at I-70 Speedway in Western Missouri on April 30th and conclude on October 22nd at Southern National Speedway in Kenly, North Carolina.  Both tracks have a history of hosting ASA events.

What might prove to be the most controversal aspects of the schedule is the fact that there are two midweek shows and two Friday night races scheduled.

Speed51.com will have further coverage of this story, as well as comments from competitors very soon.
